This Bright, Funky Furniture Was Inspired By Memphis Design—and Mushrooms

Well this is lovely: Whimsical Valencia, Spain-based design studio Masquepacio has unveiled a line of furniture for fellow Spanish company Missana and the pastel-and-jewel-tone-hued sofas, stools, and tables are quite something.

Aptly named the "Toadstool" collection, with rounded forms reminiscent of their namesake fungus, the vibrant colors of the collection—mint and emerald greens, coral pinks, navy, and bright blues—were inspired by 1980s-era Memphis design, using fabrics by fashion designer Raf Simons, reports Dezeen, complete with legs and pedestals inspired by Memphis leader Ettore Sottsass. Take a look.
