On the surface, this seems like a cool little invention that Disney has created at its Disney Research Zurich and Swiss technology institute ETH—a four-wheeled, remote-controlled robot that can scale vertical walls. But then, and maybe it's just us, but there's also something that makes us a little nervous about it. Maybe it's just the question of why Disney needs a robot that can scale vertical walls. Or maybe it's the slow, creeping realization that Disney is going to be company that develops the technology that becomes autonomous and eventually takes over the world. You thought it was going to be Google, right? Too obvious. Of course it's the one that lulled you into a false sense of security with adorable singing animals. Of course.
