This African Safari-Themed House in Missouri Is Asking an Inexplicable $15M

New, 7 comments

Oh man. This house, located in Springfield, Missouri, really, really goes for it. In many ways it is undeniably impressive—that crocodile floor mosaic is made up over 20,000 pieces, and the house is comprised almost entirely of custom imported pieces. But also, there are enough dead animal parts in this place that you'll start to feel icky just scrolling through the pictures.

Apparently, this house has been something a mystery in the community for years. It finally finished construction this past September, after the owner poured more than $3 million into it and told a local paper that he would never leave. Now it's for sale by owner, asking a seemingly absurd $15 million. Somehow, this all seems to make a lot of sense.
