Google celebrates Venice Architecture Biennale highlights in huge digital archive

Thousands of images on show

If you haven’t gotten a chance to visit this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale yet, you have about a month to do so before it ends on November 27. In the meantime, Google has stepped in with a neat way for anyone with internet access to get a good look inside this year’s exhibitions.

In Google’s new digital archive of the 2016 Biennale, you can peruse thousands of images, plus artifacts, text, and videos covering the 15th International Architecture Exhibition, “Reporting from the Front,” curated by event director and this year’s Pritzker Prize winner Alejandro Arevana. The catalog also lets you step inside a selection of National Pavilions—including those from the U.S., Australia, Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, and more—along with overviews of a number of special partner events around Venice. See it all here.
