For artists Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber, making large things small is a way of life. They’ve managed to take some of New York City’s best architecture and compressed it down to a small scale, without losing any of the details.
Nothing goes unnoticed. Meticulously crafted objects, from skyscrapers to chairs, help bring scenes alive. After the product is finished, it’ll be photographed and ultimately wind up in a gallery. The artists craft their work in their Brooklyn studio, which to some may seem cramped but to them, it’s an organized mess.
