Gorgeous Handmade Rugs Meant to Look Like Wild Landscapes

Though we've seen innovative rugs made of leather and other innovative materials, nothing has quite captured our imaginations like these floor-covering creations by Argentinian rug artist Alexandra Kehayoglou. In her Buenos Aires, Argentina, studio, Kehayoglou has been hand weaving tufted rugs created to look like natural landscapes—beaches, forests, meadows, and more are all on offer.

The large-scale pieces are largely woven from cast-off materials at her family's textile factory. Dubbed a "dream weaver" by T, the New York Times Style magazine, her work has caught on for taking on a unique look, sure, but also for being so flat-out cool.
