After a nearly three-year renovation, Swedish interior designer and former model Malin Persson and her Italian husband managed to resuscitate a circa-1908 Malmö house into a marvelous home to raise their kids and entertain guests. Tackling all the basics first, they redid the pipes, electricity, roof, etc. while restoring details like stairs, ceilings, and doors. When it came to furnishing the new digs, Persson avoided the common Scandi look marked by all-white interiors and Arne Jacobsen chairs, opting instead to mix and match new and old pieces (most of which came from her family or her husband's family.) Highlights like pale herringbone floors, plaster ceilings, and the intricate antique cabinet in the kitchen all give the place incredible character.
