Robots Are 3D-Printing Some Pretty Ridiculous Chairs These Days

New, 1 comment

Students at the Bartlett School of Architecture created these chairs, which look like the thrones of an evil spider king, using 3D printing robots. The chairs don't necessarily look like they could support human weight, and anyway, who's to say. They are strangely beautiful and an undeniably impressive achievement for the students who create them, who used a custom nozzle to extrude plastic filament into the air where it cooled down, giving the pieces their web-like look.
