Colorado's USA Pro Cyling Challenge Won't Race in 2016

The 6th edition of the USA Pro Challenge bike race will not happen in 2016. The popular multi-stage racing event drew as many as 1 million Colorado spectators each year as it wound through ski towns like Aspen, Vail, Crested Butte, and Steamboat. According to the Denver Post, organizers of the race need more time to establish a new ownership structure and secure long-term investors. The event is currently looking for more community and national sponsors. Delaying the race to 2017 will allow more time for this process.
