El Niño is Back As Latest Snow Storm Hits California Today

Despite this year's record-breaking El Niño, much of the west has seen sunny and mild temperatures for most of February. The weather was so spring-like, in fact, that it had some wondering what happened to the Super El Niño. But don't fret, powder addicts, snow is in the forecast for California starting today. The meteorologists at Open Snow expect some light rain in Lake Tahoe Wednesday during the day before colder air pushes in tonight. Heavy snow will fall for all elevations Wednesday night with lingering snow sowers into Thursday. At lake level you can expect 5-10 inches with close to 2 feet in the mountains. Get out there!
