The Lake Tahoe News is reporting that city planners in South Lake Tahoe are taking community input on what future development in the area should look like. In a region that has a slew of rather unattractive buildings (think BevMo and Auto Zone), there's a new movement to make South Lake Tahoe look like a contemporary mountain town. The Red Hut restaurant on Ski Run Boulevard (pictured above) was praised for fitting in with the desired aesthetic. Another public design workshop is scheduled for March 9 at City Hall and there's also an online survey to offer feedback.
