Vail Valley Real Estate Logs Best Year Since 2007

Real estate is booming

Two thousand fifteen was a good year for real estate in the Vail Valley, with indications that the market has fully recovered from the economic slump of 2009. The Vail Daily reported on the latest numbers from 2015 which show that last year was the best year since 2007 "both for the number of transactions...and the dollar volume of those transactions."

There were a total of 2,061 real estate transactions in Eagle Country in 2015, totaling $1.98 billion in sales. About 550 of those sales were buyers from outside of Colorado. New construction and sales of vacant land were also up, much of it in the western portions of the valley like Eagle. Like the real estate market in nearby Aspen, experts expect 2016 to be another strong year.
