Things are a-changin' for Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati—who, until the big announcement this morning, was the head designer at Milanese mens luxury brand Ermenegildo Zegna. This, as it turns out, is not the only exit Pilati is making lately. According to Architectural Digest, the designer's posh garden-level duplex apartment in Paris's 8th arrondissement recent went up for sale for $6.1M.
Renovated a few years ago by architect Bruno Caron—and promptly followed up by a feature in AD's March 2013 issue—the three-bedroom, roughly 3,440-square-foot abode is a gorgeous blend of old and new. There are original herringbone floors throughout, elaborate moldings, a winding staircase, and striking openwork shelving system by designer Martino Gamper in the master bedroom.
