New Singapore Restaurant Features Dashing Pink Interiors, Defying a Trend

New, 1 comment

There's something about pink restaurants: London restaurant Sketch opened a couple years ago in an 18th-century townhouse to much fanfare. Now comes Odette, an eatery in the Singapore National Art Gallery with pink terrazzo floors and a palette of off-white and blush-hued materials masterminded by London office Universal Design Studio—the architecture branch of acclaimed design firm Barber & Osgerby.

Plush grey-velvet banquettes meet mosaic-effect floors and faceted columns for a bright, airy vibe that the designers used to counter the restaurant design trend toward darker interiors, they told Dezeen.

Brass finishes offset the pinks and whites in the space, as well as tall leafy plants placed sporadically throughout. Take a closer look.
