Escape Homes, the Wisconsin-based companies behind handsome tiny houses boasting full-size appliances (and in the case of the Traveler XL model, sleeping quarters for up to 8 people), has released a spanking new design that takes efficient tiny living to another (super stylish) level.
The Escape Vista, a cedar, metal, and glass dwelling measuring 160 square feet, is substantially smaller than the Escape Traveler and XL models. Indulgences like a full-size fridge, oven, and bathtub have been eliminated, but the Vista offers all the basics with a clean, economical touch. There's a bed(with pop-up TV, kitchen with open-shelving and undercounter fridge/freezer, bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as full-height cabinets, built-in cubbies and drawers.
The highlight, of course, are those panoramic windows that connect the interiors to the (ideally very scenic) outdoors. Pricing for this smaller and more streamlined model starts at $39,900 (introductory price), which is naturally much lower than the cost of the larger models (which range from $65,400 to $72,800.) Orders can be delivered in 30 to 60 days.
