Seeking inspiration for your next redecorating project? Want to know the best sources for thrifty furniture finds and more in the Internet age? Well, if you're not following Los Angeles-based Justina Blakeney—designer of interiors, textiles, wallpaper and more—on Instagram, you're missing out. Her signature "patternful, colorful" style has taken the social media platform by storm, garnering her (at the time of this writing) 180,000 followers there and 12 million followers on Pinterest.

She's also an author: Her book, The New Bohemians, takes readers on a tour of 20 colorful "bohemian" homes across the U.S., and provides tips and tricks for readers' own renovation and redecoration projects.

If all of this whets your appetite for more, you're in luck! Blakeney recently talked to us on the new Curbed podcast, The Appeal, about her work, advice for the best places to find furniture in the Internet age, diversity and inclusion in the interior design industry, and more. Check it out below.

And, in case you've missed it, we've included her work in previous round-ups—like our tips for small-space decorating and in our piece on design Instagrammers to follow.
