This 'Skyfarm' Is Designed to Grow Crops Without Using Land

It would also generate its own electricity

London firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners designed this vertical farm, called Skyfarm, to generate local produce in urban areas where land is sparse. The hyperboloid structure would include levels for agricultural, aquaponics (fish farming), and aeroponics (growing plants with no soil), as well as a market and restaurant on the ground level.
