Turns Out Standing Desks Probably Don't Do Much For You, Health-wise

Some researchers at the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews have analyzed 20 studies having to do with the health benefits of reducing of sitting time at work, and found that—surprise!—standing desks don't really do anything. Standing desks are "very much, just fashionable and not proven good for your health," explains Dr. Jos Verbeek, one of the authors of the paper. There is still no word on the health benefits of the lying-down desk.
