Melbourne-based architect Kyle Lockwood emerged victorious in December is New Zealand's competition to design a new national flag. But the country just voted on whether or not to actual implement the new flag in a national referendum and they decided, nah, we'll just stick with the old flag, thanks. This is a little embarrassing for the New Zealand government because they made a big deal about this contest and spent a whole bunch of money on it, and while we hate to say I told you so, we're pretty sure that all that could been avoided if they just went with the flag we designed. There's still time. Think about it, New Zealand.
