This Smart Oven Guesses How Long Food Is Supposed to Be Cooked For, So That You Don't Have To

Hey, it's probably at least as good at guessing as you are

The basic idea of this "smart oven" from San Francisco-based appliance company June is that it has a camera that can recognize what you just put inside of it and then it will automatically know how long to cook that food for, and at what temperature, etc. As tempted as we are to poke some fun at that idea, it's not like we are exactly nailing it whenever we try to cook steaks, so sure, go ahead, smart oven. At least now we can have something to blame other than ourselves.

This new oven is designed to guess the type of food you put in it, and cook it for the correct amount of time and temperature [contemporist]
