The basic idea of this "smart oven" from San Francisco-based appliance company June is that it has a camera that can recognize what you just put inside of it and then it will automatically know how long to cook that food for, and at what temperature, etc. As tempted as we are to poke some fun at that idea, it's not like we are exactly nailing it whenever we try to cook steaks, so sure, go ahead, smart oven. At least now we can have something to blame other than ourselves.
