You Can Buy an Entire Nevada Town For $8 Million

It comes with a casino, motel, and more

The Nevada town of Cal-Nev-Ari (pronounced, for some reason, cal-nev-AIR) is on the market for $8 million, which is a real bargain since it was listed in 2010 for $17 million. How many opportunities do you get to not only own an entire town, but to also get it for a $9 million discount? Probably not many. The town is currently owned by Nancy Kidwell, who cofounded it in 1965, and it comes with a casino, diner, convenience store, 10-room motel, RV park and mile-long dirt airstrip (but not with its 350 residents and their homes).
