Creative design studio Zupagrafika modeled this set of nesting blocks, called "Blokoshka," after Eastern Bloc modernist housing architecture, and it is pretty much the perfect marriage. The hurried climate in which new buildings were constructed in post-war Europe led to so called "housing factories," which ended up shaping the urban landscape and also, incidentally, lend themselves perfectly to being turned into Russian nesting dolls (while teaching us all a little history at the same time).
