This Three Hour Animation Takes You Inside the Titanic As It Sinks

It's still a lot shorter than the movie

This real time animation of the Titanic hitting the iceberg and sinking takes two hours and forty minutes, which is actually almost a full hour shorter than the movie Titanic, although you don't get to see Leonardo DiCaprio draw Kate Winslet like one of his French girls. What you do get to see is a highly realistic visual representation of what actually happened that night, both inside the ship and out, sans people. It's very interesting and very slow going, although we're sure it didn't feel that way at the time.

The animation was created for an upcoming video game, Titanic Honor & Glory, that allows you to explore, and subsequently try to escape, the famous ship before it sinks.
