For the new London cafe Shot, local studio Wilson Holloway took tiled walls to its logical extreme, creating an almost lab-like, ceramics-covered shop that's supposed to reflect the brand's scientific approach to recipe development. Not your average all-white interior, the cafe was completely designed in a 3D software, in which the architects figured out how to cover every facet of the space with tile and incorporate custom details like built-in voids for menus, a fridge, and tabletop plants (i.e. the herbs and chilis used in the products sold.)
The curved tile look also extends to the stool seating, lighting fixtures, and walnut bench. It's certainly a rad concept, but let's just hope the owners know some grout cleaning experts.
