London's Street Art Is Finally Getting the Recognition It Deserves

One man is going around the city and giving his favorite pieces gold stars

Street art is a medium where it is probably difficult to gauge how well you are doing relative to your peers. Once you put a piece out into the world, it simply exists (until it is painted over) and there are no competitions or awards are anything of the sort for street artists to measure themselves and each other with. That's where street artist Andy Leeks comes in—the self-appointed street art arbiter has been going around London plaster big gold stars on his favorite pieces and writing "Well Done!" underneath. Finally, the validation that street artists have been so desperately seeking has arrived.
