The 'Most Accurate Lunar Globe' Is Crushing Its Kickstarter Campaign

It's the "first topographically accurate lunar globe," according to its creators

This project from designers Oscar Lhermitte and Kudu claims to be the "first topographically accurate lunar globe," having used, "NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter topographic data combined with electronic and mechanical engineering alongside careful craftsmanship in mold making." And if you think that sounds pretty cool, you are not alone—the globe has already raised $89,487, vastly exceeding its $35,589 goal with 23 days still to go. In addition to its topographical accuracy, the globe sits on a stand with a rotating sun that simulates the moon's different phases.
