The London Design Festival is attempting to raise £120,000 on Kickstarter in order to crowdfund turning Trafalgar Square into a "crazy golf course" (apparently what the English call mini golf), which raises questions like: wait, why wasn't Trafalgar Square already a crazy golf course, that sounds like a great idea? Leading the charge is famed English fashion designer Paul Smith, with collaborators including Tom Dixon and Zaha Hadid, who designed a hole that traces the shadow of Nelson's Column before her death.
Previous London Design Festival transformations of Trafalgar Square have included turning it into a giant chess set and having an assembly line of robots perform a light show.
