Elevator manufacturer Otis has announced plans to construct a 270-meter (886-foot) tower in Shanghai solely for the purpose of testing its new elevators designs. The tower will reportedly be the tallest of its kind in the world, topping the 232-meter tower than ThyssenKrupp built in Germany last year. No word yet on what the elevator amenities will be, but we're guessing at least an elevator spa, elevator lounge, elevator indoor pool, elevator library, and elevator business center.
