This gigantic shell of a mansion near Houston, Texas was constructed in 2001. It never came close to being finished, reportedly has 55 (potential) bedrooms, and was put on the market for $3.5 million last year. Initially it had trouble selling, but then it was kept on the market and the price was never lowered and now, believe it or not, it still has not sold. Incredibly, it was apparently in contract at one point to a buyer who intended to turn it into some sort of group home, but the city of Manvel annexed the land that it's on and rezoned it residential, so that was the end of that.
