France's Trains Are Filled With Museum-Quality Art

New, 2 comments

Riding a train in France is cultural experience

By and large, we don't spend a lot of time thinking about how nicely decorated the insides of trains are, but that might be different if we lived in France where the state operated rail service has covered the insides of its cars with graphic film of impressionist paintings, art from the Musee d’Orsay, architectural patterns from Versailles, and more. On the other hand, New York City's subways often have advertisements that we all collectively make jokes about, so it kind of evens out.
