We've seen our fair share of converted church abodes, but to cap off this Renovation Week, here's one particularly homey example, newly on the market for $739K. Located in Westchester County, just north of Manhattan, the circa-1875 former chapel is now an impressive family home with a beautiful mix of historic and modern features..

The owners have restored architectural details like arched beams, dutch doors, and hardwood floors to dazzling effect. Meanwhile, the kitchen has been updated with shiny black cabinetry and stainless steel appliances and bathrooms feature contemporary fixtures. With 25-foot ceilings and many windows and skylights, the three bedroom, 1,810-square-foot home also gets fantastic light. The residence also includes a lofted living area—though the stairs to it look a bit precarious—and a rear patio for outdoor entertaining.
