Even though our big move to Mars may seem like it’s mere months away (and it may well be) there are still a few logistics to work out. And, to that end, Japanese contractor Kajima and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency are collaborating on some automated construction equipment that can be controlled remotely—named Automated Autonomous Advanced Accelerated Construction System for Safety, Efficiency, and Liability, or A4CSEL—so that the equipment can go up there first and build us our cool Mars houses, sparing us the hassle of having to live in the HAB. This whole moving-to-Mars thing is sounding better by the day.
