Unmanned flying taxis could actually become a thing, apparently

Or, “people-carrying drones,” as one booster terrifyingly put it

"I personally look forward to the day when drone taxis are part of Nevada’s transportation system," Tom Wilczek, an official in the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, said in a recent statement. And while that might seem like just a terrifying bit of wishful thinking, apparently it’s not, because apparently these things already exist. Chinese company EHang has entered into an agreement with Nevada to begin testing their EHang 184, an "unmanned aerial vehicle." Wilczek, who could really stand to come up with some less frightening language, continues, in the statement, "EHang’s selection of Nevada to test its people-carrying drone marks a thrilling addition to the innovative companies testing throughout our state." Yeah, "people-carrying drone." Sign us up.
