Scuzzy soap dishes may seem like a gross but necessary evil. But are they actually necessary? Not if designer Sebastian Bergne has anything to say about it. Asked to design a soap dish, Bergne decided to design a dish-less soap instead, really thinking outside the soapbox. Bergne's creation is a donut-shaped bar of soap and a peg, which can be attached to the shower wall, both eliminating the unpleasant soap-water that accumulates at the bottom of the dish and the need to take up additional surface area to store the soap.
