In March, news surfaced that Danish design brand HAY and Sweden-based, H&M-owned fashion brand COS had collaborated on a line of furnishings and home accessories (think blankets, storage, trays, and more). Now, just in time for the official start of summer (hey, Solstice, we’re lookin’ at you!) comes news that the two companies have expanded the line, adding outdoor furniture already offered by HAY and other items, like garden accessories, like plant pots and more.
In an interview with Dezeen, COS’s creative director, Karin Gustafsson, explained that the company "felt garden furniture was a great addition to the existing range." The furniture was designed by French brothers and industrial designers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec, as part of their Palissade Collection.
While the seating is available solely at COS’s Kensington High Street store, European customers can purchase select other items from the collaboration online. Here in the U.S., it seems that our only option for now is purchasing HAY goods from the company’s New York City mini market or online through the MoMA Design Shop. Not a bad consolation prize.
