It now occurs to us, possibly a little late, that we should have taken some time in a previous edition of this thing to talk about the Sept of Baelor. But the Sept of Baelor always seemed so, well, permanent as to not be worth addressing. And also, this may seem a little mean at this point but the Sept of Baelor was not a favorite. A little much, as far as decor goes. If you’re going to design a room around seven giant statues, you can stand to make the rest of the place a little less busy. That’s just a good rule of thumb, in general.
So, goodbye to this place. We will miss it exactly as much as we miss the High Sparrow.
In other news the award for Most Inexplicably Poorly Lit Room in Westeros has been hotly contested all season, but at the last moment the banquet hall at The Twins (the seat of House Frey) has swooped in and taken the title. This huge-ass room has exactly zero windows and approximately one thousand candles, and they are doing nothing.
And as far other locations go, at the end of a mercifully short Sam and Gilly section, Sam is introduced to Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Library. Congratulations to Sam. Hope it uses the Dewey Decimal System.
