A midcentury flashback

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Price: $449,000

The last time an Oklahoma modernist home appeared on House of the Day, it was a $199K '40s spread that desperately needed some love. This time, the OK-Mod is in a lot better shape and has had the same owners for 15 years.

Built in 1958, the rocky 3,162-square-foot home was designed by Donald Honn, a noted Oklahoma midcentury architect who designed many modernist homes in Tulsa and developed Lortondale, a whole neighborhood of modern homes. The three-bedroom home looks charmingly true to its era, with plenty of original features still around. Watch out for the terrazzo floors, interior stone walls, wood panels that slide to connect or separate the galley kitchen and dining area, and huge glass walls in the living room and master suite. The woodsy 1.3-acre lot includes a sizable backyard terrace.
