Tiny Homes for Rent: 3 Cool Getaways in the Woods

Perfect for reconnecting with nature

Designed for a low-maintenance, simple lifestyle, tiny homes are, unsurprisingly, often built right in the woods, where nature is the rightful main attraction. Here's a look at a few rad examples around the country, perfect for that quick, summer getaway.

North Woodstock, NH—"Baby Cabin" ($59/night)

At 144 square feet, this tiny cottage in the heavily forested town of Woodstock, NH is smaller than many tiny house on wheels and just as adorable. Just take a look at the windows, shutters, porch, and door—all so tiny and colorful. The interior also includes a brick fireplace.

Boston area (exact location disclosed upon booking)—"The Clara" ($99/night)

The latest tiny house from Boston-area startup Getaway is striking alright. All blackened wood on the outside, all pale wood on the inside, the Clara can still up to four (though that will cost extra) and comes with a stocked kitchen, hanging chair, and a huge window over one sleeping area.

Watsonville, CA—"Redwood Treehouse" ($125/night)

Located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, this 299-square-foot tiny tree house has not one, but two trees growing through it. Of course, necessities are also taken care of. The elevated retreat offers a kitchen with stove and fridge, bathroom with shower and toilet, plus a hot tub.
