The INSIDE: World Festival of Interiors, which takes place in Berlin in November, has announced its shortlist of the best interiors from all across the globe, from China, Singapore, Thailand, and Australia, to Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. There are 63 projects contending for the World Interior of the Year award across nine categories including bars and restaurants, culture and transportation, creative reuse, health and education, hotels, residences, and retail.
The festival will take place in conjunction with the World Architecture Festival, which announced its shortlist for the World Building of the Year earlier this month. Here’s a look at some of the most interesting interiors below—and, for what it’s worth, you may want to take notes. Between a bookshelf-lined penthouse in São Paulo, a futuristic car showroom in Seoul, and a sleek stone cinema in China, you’re bound to find plenty of inspiration for your own design needs, no matter how niche your tastes are.
