The Shonsie, one of four tiny home models developed by 84 Lumber, the nation’s only large retailer to get in on the tiny house action, will be available to tour this week at the 84 Lumber outpost in Gulfport, Mississippi as part of a Tiny Living road tour.
Cute and built in a cozy cottage style, the Shonsie is 154 square feet of lovely tiny house living. Set on top a custom steel trailer with radial tires, the home comes in a red or blue color scheme option that features a bright metal roof, bright interiors, polymer composite siding, sliding glass patio doors—and a wee front porch.
Inside, the Shonsie boasts an exposed rafter ceiling (with hidden storage compartments), a shiny floor (either in red or blue epoxy), a rolling library ladder to access the 52-square-foot sleeping loft, kitchen, bathroom, and closet—complete with sliding barn door. The model begins at $6,884 for the trailer and plans, goes up to $22,884 for a semi-DIY option, and is available as a fully outfitted tiny home for $59,884.
