In a recent promo video for Keeping Up With The Kardashians (still a show), Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner tells one of her daughters (we believe) that she is "obsessed with books right now" and that she is "reading a book about Le Courvoisier, which is an architect." She goes to on elaborate: "It’s so weird and boring."
While it may be tempting to say that Kris Jenner made a mistake and referred to world famous Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier as Le Courvoisier, that is not in fact the case. Le Courvoisier is actually Le Corbusier’s hard-partying, good-for-nothing nephew. Here are a few of of Le Courvoisier’s most notable quotes:
"Space and light and order. Those are the things that men need just as much as they need bread or a place to sleep or a disco ball to paaaarty!"
"Chairs are architecture, sofas are bourgeois. Except velvet sofas. Those are sweet as hell."
"The history of architecture is the history of the struggle for light. Anyway, you wanna come back to my place? I have some cool records I think you’d be into..."
Weird that a book about that guy would be boring.
