Danish tech brand Bang and Olufsen gives the television a minimalist makeover

It follows other high-end, design-minded options for consumers

When news broke that French designers and brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec partnered with Samsung on the Serif TV, many design-minded folks rejoiced (though not without a bit of controversy about the new sets’ looks).

Now, Danish tech company Bang & Olufsen has unveiled its own high-end television, complete with sleek, minimalist looks, 4K resolution, and more. Dubbed the BeoVision 14, an ultra-high definition LED television that comes equipped with three-way speakers fronted with oak slats, all encased in a thin aluminum body. Oak not your jam? Consumers can swap out speaker covers. Like many modern televisions, it can be wall-mounted or placed on a stand.

What’s more, the BeoVision comes powered by Android technology, which means it’s Google Cast-ready and also allows users to stream content from their Android-powered mobile devices to the set. It’ll hit the U.S. market in December.
