Earlier this week, Kanye West beseeched furniture giant Ikea to "allow Kanye to create" during an interview with BBC Radio 1. "I have to work with IKEA, make furniture for interior design, for architecture," he explained to interviewer Annie Mac, "and I know that if I do a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm where the TV goes on the side of the wall."
Now Kanye has gotten a response, from Ikea Australia’s Facebook account. Their post includes an image of a flatpack bed called the "Yeezy," which consists of three beds connected side-by-side, a la Kanye’s recent "Famous" music video. The caption reads: "Hej Kanye, we’d love to see what you’d create…we could make you Famous!"
So, seems like they're probably joking. (Or, in Australian lingo, "having a didgeridoo.") On the bright side, we can’t wait to hear how Kanye rips into Ikea Australia on his next album.
Hej Kanye, we’d love to see what you’d create…we could make you Famous!
