The English house that served as the Dursleys’ residence in the Harry Potter movies is on the market for £475,000, or approximately $619,000. According to the Daily Mail, it last changed hands in May of 2010 for £290,000 (~$378,000).

For anyone unfamiliar with the Harry Potter universe, the Dursleys — Vernon, Petunia, and their son Dudley — are Harry’s muggle (non-magic) relatives who take him in after his parents are killed. They are extremely emotionally abusive to him and force him to live in a cupboard under the stairs. Everything about them is supposed to be boring and awful, including their house, known in the books as 4 Privet Drive, which author J.K. Rowling has subsequently described as "smugly middle class." It is the hell from which Harry escapes once he learns that he is a wizard.

So, on the one hand, it’s a house from the movies! But on the other hand, do you really want to be like the Dursleys?

To be fair, the interiors are much less depressing now than they were when Petunia Dursley was in charge of decorating.
