We’ve seen many a shipping container home ranging from the wildly weird to the utterly practical, but this sweet tiny home overlooking South Africa’s Bot River Valley has something special. The 650-square-foot Copia Cabin is a holiday rental for two containing a kitchen, living room, and bedroom with a king-sized bed.

Made from two 40-foot-long shipping containers, the home has a level of finish that beats out the average conversion. The corrugated metal exterior has been painted a sleek black, accented by sections covered with bark-stripped branches—lending a dash of nature and horizontal line to the design.

Ample windows provide lovely views from any of the home’s three rooms. A large set of folding glass doors opens the living room onto a railing-free porch, which also provides access to a fireplace and wood-fired hot tub.
The home rents for roughly $90 a night and is about a 90-minute drive from Cape Town.
