Lego by the foot?

Lego tape Nimuno Loops

It’s a Lego lover’s dream come true: As if a whole Lego House wasn’t enough, a couple of ingenious designers have created Nimuno Loops, a Lego-compatible tape that promises to turn any surface into a site for toy brick projects.

Bendable and cuttable like a roll of bubblegum, this “Lego tape” features a reusable adhesive backing that can stick to windows, kitchen counters, refrigerators, tubs, and, well, virtually every corner of your house. As detrimental as this might be to any sort of clutter-free look at home, people clearly do not care. With still a month left in its Indiegogo campaign, Nimuno Loops has already crowdfunded almost 8,000 percent of its $8,000 goal—that’s some $624,000 from nearly 17,500 backers.

Nimuno Loops’s creators, the Cape Town, South Africa-based industrial designers Anine Kirsten and Max Basler, intend to use the money towards final prototyping and production. They’re offering the tape as rewards with an estimated shipping date this July. Nimuno Loops start at $11 plus shipping for two rolls, available in blue, red, green, and gray.
