Italian furniture company Arper has released a new collection of streamlined seating inspired by Art Deco’s “geometric glamour.” Called Arcos, the pieces are sleek, lightweight, and feature curved cast-aluminum armrests that call to mind the architectural period’s elegant archways.

Available in three sizes—a love seat, lounger, and chair—they can be adapted for small spaces, but can also hold their own in grander ones—as seen in an installation unveiled during last month’s NYCxDesign. Curated by Sight Unseen and styled by The White Arrow with rugs by Studio Proba and accessories by Good Thing, the presentation also made a case for combining classic design with contemporary flair.

Although the pieces were designed with public spaces in mind, they have the potential to rev up a residence. Place a mix of different colorways around a table, and you’ve got a cool dining set. Or put a bright lounge chair in the corner of your bedroom for a surprising pop of color. The chairs are available in an array of upholstery and armrest options, so the possibilities are (nearly) endless.
