Star Wars fans get ready for a big announcement: Disney will open a new Star Wars-themed hotel as part of its new land in Orlando.

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, confirmed the news and said that the hotel will be an immersive experience that allows guests to go on adventures in a self-contained spaceship.

In a statement posted on the Disney Parks blog, Chapek says, “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire. Once you leave Earth, you will discover a starship alive with characters, stories, and adventures that unfold all around you.”

Details are scarce, but the new luxury resort will allow guests to interact with characters and The Telegraph is reporting that the hotel will also have a pool area, water park, and fitness center. Of course, this immersive experience likely won’t come cheap. Early reports say that a 2-night stay might cost as much as $1,000 per guest.

Disney made the announcement at its annual D23 expo in Anaheim, where the company also released a 50-foot scale model showing what the new land—now called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge—will look like.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in 2019 at both Disney’s Orlando and Anaheim locations. Head over here for more.
