August means a number of things: time to squeeze in one last summer getaway, all things back to school, or, for those of us obsessed with furniture and the home, sitting down with the newest Ikea catalog. The catalog, as symbolic of Ikea as Frakta bags or Swedish meatballs, is where the flatpack retailer showcases all of the new products it’s debuting or has been rolling out, as well as a closer look at the special collections we’ve been hearing about all year.

Last year’s catalog had a lot of ideas for small spaces, and this year’s edition, with a theme of “Make Room for Life,” builds on that from the angle of flexible, modern living. That means you can expect more multi-functional pieces and even more storage solutions.

Below, we share some of the best new products in the catalog you can shop now. To do your own browsing, the 2018 catalog is already available in stores. And as of today, the digital edition is also ready to view here and on iOS and Android apps.
