The RV industry offers a plethora of choices on the market, from million-dollar expedition campers to small teardrop trailers. But when it comes to truly affordable campers that still offer slick amenities, sometimes the industry falls flat. Love campers and trailers? Come join our community group.
That’s what makes North Carolina-based SylvanSport so unique. The clever SylvanSport GO travel trailer can haul lots of gear and then transform into a camper that can sleep up to five people.
We’ve reported on the SylvanSport GO in the past, but this year the company has released a limited edition run of fifteen Platinum GO models to celebrate their 15-year anniversary. Instead of the normal silver and green coloring, the Platinum models feature a two-tone silver and gray tent package, and gray and charcoal accent colors throughout.

Beyond the colorings, the Platinum model boasts all of the other elements that has made the SylvanSport GO popular. As a toy hauler, the trailer can hold an ATV or bikes inside the multi-height trailer bed, and it can also haul bikes or kayaks on the roof rack.
Once at camp, the GO pops up and folds out to create a tented area with two benches and a table. It’s big enough for most people to stand inside at 6.5 feet in height, and the dining area coverts into a large bed with storage space underneath. Two adults and two kids can easily fit on the king-and-a-half sleeping area, and you can use the sunshade to create an extra vestibule to add space.
The tent is also completely waterproof and seam-sealed, so there’s no need for an additional rainfly. Three-way doors and windows make for comfortable airflow, and the trailer also has a dry weight of only 840 pounds, making it an excellent lightweight option.
Like the standard GO model, the Platinum GO costs $9,995 while supplies last. Although it doesn’t boast a kitchen and bathroom like other campers, the SylvanSport GO could be a good choice for gear-toting families on a budget and anyone looking for a simple—but well-designed—travel trailer.
